Summary:
We are seeking a radiology technician to administer patient health screenings using current technologies. As a radiology technician, you will respond to unit requests for patient imaging and communicate results to the on-duty physician. You must have strong written and oral communication skills to work with various patients and staff members.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate radiation equipment to produce images for health screenings

Complete intake process with the patient as needed

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

Ensure proper sterilization and storage of instruments

Coordinate with radiology department personnel to schedule and complete radiographs

Maintain strict confidentiality of patient imaging results
-
Maintain working knowledge of current radiology practices

Report equipment failures in a timely manner

Educate patients on imaging preparations prior to procedures

Review patient chart and doctor’s notes prior to performing exams

Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner

Provide patients with protective wear to reduce radiation exposure

Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate results

Assist with interpreting radiograph results

Maintain patient records

Log and organize imaging results
-
Prepare and submit bi-monthly progress reports
Qualifications:

High school diploma required
-
Associate degree or certificate from an accredited institution required
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment

Licensure must be obtained within 6 months of employment

Budget management experience required
-
Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to operate equipment without assistance

Willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, and holidays as needed)
